The 2026 SWSC British Masters finale runs on 17 and 18 October at Stewartby Lake: five titles on the line (GT15, GT30, T850, OSY400, Hydro), 21 entries.

Key point

On 17 and 18 October 2026, the last round of the British Masters at Stewartby Lake decides five powerboat titles.

The final round of the 2026 SWSC British Masters, the British circuit powerboat championship, runs on 17 and 18 October 2026 at Stewartby Lake in Bedfordshire. Five titles are at stake: GT15, GT30, T850, OSY400 and Hydro. It is the fourth and last event of the season, one that has already been disrupted.

A season already shaken up

The opening round, planned for the weekend of 4 and 5 April on the same water, was cancelled in its entirety: Storm Dave, under an orange Met Office warning, first forced the suspension of Saturday afternoon's activities, then the Sunday programme. The championship therefore started later in the year, with a tight calendar leading to this finale.

Five titles, best 15 results

Each class title will be decided on the best 15 results of the season, so current totals are not final. In the provisional standings published before the finale:

  • GT15: Riley Hudson leads on 4,600 points;
  • GT30: Ethan Goodfellow is ahead on 4,132 points;
  • T850: Nigel Edwards leads on 4,604 points;
  • OSY400: Ben Sallis is first on 3,625 points;
  • Hydro: Thomas Mantripp leads on 700 points.

Who will be on the start line?

The published list has 20 drivers across the five classes, plus one catamaran, making 21 entries: four in GT15, five in GT30, four in T850, only three in OSY400 and four in Hydro. All ranked drivers in GT30 are entered, while T850's runner-up, Mike Manning, is not, nor is Andy Hood. In GT15 a newcomer, Zach Jelf, joins the list.

The only catamaran entered is Tom Thwaites' in F4. The detailed race programme is not given in the preview; the club simply announces an evening event on Saturday.

The British Masters format

According to the series' presentation, each event includes three championships: the British Masters, the Match Race (knockout duels over two laps) and the Lap Record, which rewards the best lap in a race. Each race day has four heats, with the second and fourth starting from a reversed grid.
