Paris Supercross on 21-22 November: Roczen, Vialle, Coenen and Plessinger are lined up, Jordon Smith replaces Malcolm Stewart. Schedule and new format.

Key point

The 43rd Paris Supercross, on 21 and 22 November, brings together Ken Roczen, Tom Vialle and the Coenen brothers; Jordon Smith replaces Malcolm Stewart and the final now counts double.

The Paris Supercross returns to La Défense on 21 and 22 November 2026 for its 43rd edition, and the announced field mixes American stars, European champions and eagerly awaited debutants. Ken Roczen, Tom Vialle, Aaron Plessinger, Jo Shimoda and the twins Lucas and Sacha Coenen are among the names to watch.

Jordon Smith replaces Malcolm Stewart

Malcolm Stewart will be absent: his new team has not yet been able to test with him. Jordon Smith, eighth in the recent SuperMotocross World Championship final, takes his place, meaning the whole American Triumph team is represented. Aaron Plessinger makes his first official appearance on a Triumph. Malcolm Stewart has reportedly marked Paris 2027 on his calendar.

A strong SX1 field

  • Ken Roczen, American Supercross champion after beating Hunter Lawrence in the final, already won in Paris in 2022. He can join seven riders who became King of Paris after a US title, including Jean-Michel Bayle (1991), Jeremy McGrath (1993, 1995) and Jason Anderson (2018).
  • Jo Shimoda, the 2023 winner and "Prince of Paris", will ride his first 450 supercross.
  • Tom Vialle, a two-time American Supercross champion, is racing on home soil.
  • Lucas Coenen, long the leader of the motocross world championship before his injury, makes his supercross debut ahead of a planned move to the United States in January.
  • Cédric Soubeyras holds the record for Paris appearances, with 19 editions; Maxime Desprey, Jordi Tixier and Tom Guyon represent the French SX Tour.

SX2 and SX Junior

The SX2 field is made up of the top 12 of the French championship plus wild cards, among them Sacha Coenen, 20, who makes his first supercross appearance on a KTM after winning three of the four American motocross rounds he entered. Michael Hicks rides an electric Stark. SX Junior opens the programme with a single grand final for the top 10 of the championship.

The new format

Each evening, SX1 and SX2 run three qualifying heats. The longer final is new this year and is worth double points. A Superpole, freestyle demonstrations and a Monster Energy Freestyle Show, with a best-trick contest between Julien Vanstippen and José "Mincha" Canosa, complete the evenings. According to the organisers, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon were almost sold out when the announcement was made; tickets are on sale through the event's official website.

The Paris Supercross began in 1984 at Bercy; it has been held at La Défense for nine editions.
