From the Pacific to the Canadian summer

After Christchurch in February, Rotorua follows in March. The tour then crosses the ocean: Whistler, the birthplace of the festival, offers ten days of programme. SilverStar follows four days later, so riders can stay in British Columbia.

In mid-August the tour stops at Mont-Sainte-Anne in Quebec. The season closes in late August with the Summer Series at Sugarloaf, in Atlantic Canada's first lift-served bike park. It will be the fourth edition of the event.

Details on start fields and on each discipline series are due in the coming months.

Looking back at 2026

According to MTB-News, the 2026 season brought several firsts. The Slopestyle Super League gave slopestyle a new series structure and ended in September at Mont-Sainte-Anne with the first SSL World Championship. The organiser reports more than 30,000 fans for that debut in Quebec and more than 650 athletes across the various disciplines.

Ryan Gilchrist won the King of Crankworx title for the third year in a row, a first. In the women's category, Jordy Scott defended her Queen of Crankworx title.

What about enduro?

Alongside the World Tour, Crankworx is working on its own enduro series, planned for 2027. So far only the Canadian Open Enduro in Whistler is confirmed: the series calendar has not been published.
