Provisional WorldSBK 2027 calendar: first round in China at Shanghai, Valencia returns, Jerez and Hungary drop out, Phillip Island opens on 19 February.

Key point

The 2027 WorldSBK calendar opens at Phillip Island on 19 February and ends in Shanghai from 29 to 31 October, the championship's first visit to China.

The provisional 2027 World Superbike (WorldSBK) calendar is out. The season will open at Phillip Island on the weekend of 19 to 21 February and finish in Shanghai from 29 to 31 October: the championship will visit China for the first time in its history. Valencia returns, while Jerez and Hungary drop out.

The 2027 WorldSBK calendar, round by round

Here are the dates found in the sources, in calendar order:

  • 19-21 February: Phillip Island (Australia)
  • 19-21 March: Algarve, Portimão (Portugal)
  • 2-4 April: Valencia, Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Spain)
  • 16-18 April: Assen (Netherlands)
  • 21-23 May: MotorLand Aragón (Spain)
  • 4-6 June: Most (Czech Republic)
  • 18-20 June: Misano (Italy)
  • 9-11 July: Donington Park (United Kingdom)
  • 3-5 September: Magny-Cours (France)
  • 24-26 September: Cremona (Italy)
  • 29-31 October: Shanghai (China)

Cycle News also lists a round at Estoril, Portugal, on 15 to 17 October, which Crash.net leaves out of its table, so we do not count it in the list above.

What changes compared with 2026

Three changes stand out.

  • Shanghai as the finale: the Chinese circuit is new to WorldSBK and pushes the end of the season back to late October.
  • Valencia replaces Jerez: the Ricardo Tormo circuit returns to the calendar in third position. Jerez is absent because of renovation work on its facilities.
  • Hungary leaves the calendar: Balaton Park no longer features.

Phillip Island, opener for the last time

The Australian round opens the season at Phillip Island one last time: from 2028 it moves to The Bend circuit, according to Cycle News and SoyMotero. For Belgian, Dutch and French fans, the European season starts at Portimão and then Valencia, followed by Assen in April, and Magny-Cours in September.

A calendar that is still provisional

The calendar remains provisional: adjustments are possible before the final version. We will update this article once the calendar is confirmed.
