Red Bull Rampage 2026: wind halts the men's final after nine riders. No winner; Szymon Godziek led with 90.00 points ahead of Jaxson Riddle and Kade Edwards.

Key point

The Red Bull Rampage 2026 men's final was stopped during the first run because of wind: only nine riders had gone, so no winner is declared.

The men's final of the Red Bull Rampage 2026, held on Saturday 10 October in Utah, ended with no winner. Wind forced the competition to stop during the first run, a first in the event's history according to MTB-News. Only nine riders had gone when the organisers ended the 25th edition of the Rampage for safety reasons.

Wind and an approaching storm had the final say

The riders started very early in the morning. The wind then strengthened and a storm approached. Competitors waited about two and a half hours in the hope of a better window before the event was officially called off. Finley Kirschenmann, for example, could not attempt his riskiest tricks and settled for a safe run. Pinkbike confirms the final was not completed because of strong winds.

Why there is no winner

According to MTB-News, the rules are clear: if the first run is not completed by every rider, there is no winner. Szymon Godziek, who was leading when the event stopped, therefore does not take the win.

The standings when the event was stopped

    1. Szymon Godziek, 90.00
    1. Jaxson Riddle, 85.87
    1. Kade Edwards, 84.12
    1. Johny Salido, 82.37
    1. Kaidan Ingersoll, 78.75
    1. Connor Gallart, 69.00
    1. Bienvenido Aguado Alba, 52.50

Paul Couderc and Carson Storch are credited with 0.00. The other riders, including Thomas Genon and Hayden Zablotny, had not yet received a score.

Special awards all the same

Four awards were handed out: the Toughness Award to Bienvenido Aguado Alba, the Digger Award to Paul Couderc and his crew (Louis Reboul and Jeremy Berthier), the Style Award to Kade Edwards and the Kelly McGarry Spirit Award to Carson Storch. Storch crashed heavily and was flown to hospital by helicopter for a check-up. According to MTB-News, no bones are broken.

What to remember

The Rampage remains the event most exposed to the elements: after the women's final won by Robin Goomes, the men's final will go down as an unfinished edition.
