The New Zealander won with 93.50 points and took a third consecutive title, following her wins in 2024 and 2025. According to DH Net, no woman had achieved this in the event's history, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.
A tight duel with Hannah Bergemann
The final was decided by the finest of margins. After her first run, Goomes (90.62) trailed American Hannah Bergemann (91.25). According to MTB-News, that first run included what would be the first Flatspin 360 in women's competition.
On her second run, Goomes rode more cleanly and added a Backflip CanCan: the judges gave her 93.50 points. Bergemann, already second in 2025, answered with 92.75 points and finished 0.75 points behind the winner.
Sharing the men's terrain
According to MTB-News, it was the third women-only final and, for the first time, the women used the same terrain as the men, with nearly 30 lines. Cami Nogueira could not take part: she was badly hurt in practice attempting the "Minister" drop and fractured several bones.
Climbing the order on the second run
The second run reshuffled the field behind the two leaders. Australia's Harriet Burbidge-Smith went from 72.25 to 82.51 points to take 5th. American Chelsea Kimball did even better, from 61.00 to 81.87 points, to finish 6th just ahead of Scotland's Mikayla Parton (81.75).
