The FIA publishes the 2027 Baja Cups calendars: 8, 9 and 5 rounds for the World, European and Middle East Baja Cup, with Sardinia Rally Raid and Oman added.

Key point

The 2027 FIA Baja Cups calendars have 8 rounds in the World Baja Cup, 9 in the European Baja Cup and 5 in the Middle East Baja Cup, with two newcomers: Sardinia Rally Raid and Oman International Baja.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council, meeting by videoconference on 19 October 2026, made public the 2027 calendars for the FIA Baja Cups: 8 rounds for the World Baja Cup, 9 for the European Baja Cup and 5 for the Middle East Baja Cup. Two events make their debut: the Sardinia Rally Raid in Europe and the Oman International Baja in the Middle East.

World Baja Cup: same events, new dates

According to 131 Off-Road, the World Baja Cup calendar keeps the events and slots of 2026; only the dates change.

  • Saudi Baja (Saudi Arabia): 3 to 5 February
  • Jordan Baja (Jordan): 15 to 17 April
  • Baja Greece (Greece): 4 to 6 June
  • Italian Baja (Italy): 16 to 18 July
  • Baja España Aragón (Spain): 10 to 12 September
  • Baja Portalegre 500 (Portugal): 4 to 6 November
  • Qatar International Baja (Qatar): 18 to 20 November
  • Dubai International Baja (United Arab Emirates): 3 to 5 December

European Baja Cup: nine rounds, from spring to autumn

The European Baja Cup opens with the Baja TT Cuenca (Spain), from 7 to 9 May, and ends with the Hungarian Baja (Hungary), from 11 to 14 November. The newcomer is the Sardinia Rally Raid (Italy), scheduled for 21 to 23 May.

  • Baja TT Cuenca (Spain): 7 to 9 May
  • Sardinia Rally Raid (Italy): 21 to 23 May
  • Baja Greece (Greece): 4 to 6 June
  • Italian Baja (Italy): 16 to 18 July
  • Baja Poland (Poland): 19 to 21 August
  • Baja España Aragón (Spain): 10 to 12 September
  • Baja TT Sharish Gin (Portugal): 7 to 10 October
  • Baja Portalegre 500 (Portugal): 4 to 6 November
  • Hungarian Baja (Hungary): 11 to 14 November

Several rounds are shared with the World Baja Cup: Baja Greece, Italian Baja, Baja España Aragón and Baja Portalegre 500.

Middle East Baja Cup: Oman joins

The Middle East Baja Cup has five rounds: Saudi Baja (3 to 5 February), Jordan Baja (15 to 17 April), the Oman International Baja, Qatar International Baja (18 to 20 November) and Dubai International Baja (3 to 5 December).

A word of caution on the Oman date: the 131 Off-Road article gives two different dates in its text and in its table. We are not repeating either until it is confirmed.

A clearer starting order for priority drivers

The FIA also specifies that on the second stage of the Baja Cups, priority drivers are automatically repositioned in the starting order, as in the World Rally-Raid Championship system.

Key takeaway

The Baja Cups keep their three-championship structure but extend towards Sardinia and Oman. Rally-raid fans can already mark the first date: the Saudi Baja, from 3 to 5 February 2027, opens both the World Baja Cup and the Middle East Baja Cup.
