UIM E1 World Championship: Team Brady lead Westbrook Racing by 40 points heading into the season-ending double-header in Miami on 13 and 14 November 2026.

Key point

With two races left, Team Brady hold a 40-point lead over Westbrook Racing in the UIM E1 World Championship and are chasing a third consecutive title in Miami on 13 and 14 November.

The 2026 season of the UIM E1 World Championship, the electric powerboat series, will be decided in Miami, on Biscayne Bay, on 13 and 14 November. After the E1 Luanda GP, Team Brady lead Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola by 40 points and are chasing a third consecutive title.

A first double-header for the finale

Miami will stage the first double-header in E1 history: two back-to-back championship races on 13 and 14 November. The city has hosted international powerboat racing since the 1950s and already staged the championship decider in 2025. The season calendar will not visit Nigeria or the Bahamas after all, according to the series.

The standings before Miami

After Luanda, the championship order is:

  • 1. Team Brady: 157 points
  • 2. Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola: 117 points
  • 3. Aoki Racing Team: 86 points
  • 4. Team AlUla: 84 points
  • 5. Team Blue Rising: 79 points

Brady are therefore 40 points clear of Westbrook and 71 clear of Aoki. Team Monaco (74), Team Drogba Global Africa (68), Sierra Racing Club (65), Team Rafa (62) and Team Miami (53) complete the top 10.

Luanda: Brady pull clear, Westbrook stumble

The E1 Luanda GP, the fifth round of the season, was the series' first national event. Sam Coleman won Final 1, which gave his team-mate Emma Kimiläinen pole for Final 2. She went on to win Final 2 by 1.4 seconds, with Oban Duncan of Team Monaco pressing her and named Pilot of the Day.

The biggest blow fell on Will Smith's Westbrook team. A technical problem in its first group-stage race led it to borrow a boat from Team AlUla, but it finished ninth, beaten by less than half a second by Sierra Racing Club, and missed the finals. That cost it ground on Brady.

How we got here

In Monaco on 18 July, Team Drogba Global Africa took their first E1 win while Team Brady, second, moved to the top of the championship for the first time this season, nine points clear of Westbrook.

E1 chief executive Jamie Copas describes the Miami finale as a championship decider and says the title fight is shaping up to be one of the closest in the series' history.

Key takeaway

With a 40-point lead and two races to run in Miami, Team Brady are in a strong position, but the double-header format leaves the door open to Westbrook, Aoki and AlUla. On 13 and 14 November the season will be settled on Biscayne Bay.
